BZ Sport Cycles launched custom hand-built Birdy Wheels in Singapore back in the year 2019. We offers a wide range of Carbon and Alloy wheelset for Birdy bike, in both 18inch and 20inch.

BZ Birdy Wheels, fully custom hand-built by BZ Wheel Builder. We custom build unique Birdy wheels that suit your specific requirement, in term of performance and aesthetic appeal of your Birdy bike.

Birdy bike is one of the most impressive folding bike in the market as it is compact and sporty.

Rim Selection

We offer 3 types of BZ Rims, which are BZ REVOpro Carbon Rim, BZ REVO Carbon Rim and BZ Alloy Rim.

Let’s see what are the differences?
BZ Carbon Wheels – REVOpro
BZ REVOpro Carbon Rim is in sinusoidal rim design, which is only available in 20inch. The rim design enable us to reinforce for mating with the spoke.

BZ Carbon Wheels – REVO
BZ REVO Carbon Rim is in the conventional aerodynamic rim design, which is available in both 18inch and 20inch. The rim depth is 38mm is one of the optimal rim profile for small wheel.

BZ Alloy Wheels
BZ Alloy wheels is in conventional alloy rim design, which is also available in both 18inch and 20inch. Apart from the standard rim colour in black and silver, we have added several vibrant colours to the alloy rim selection.

For the rim itself, BZ REVO Pro Rim is the lightest, while BZ Alloy is slightly heavier than the others. However, the total weight of the wheelset is still lighter than the stock wheelset.

Hub Selection

We offer a series of high quality hubs from well known hub manufacturers in the industry, such as DT Swiss (Switzerland), Onyx Racing Products (The U.S.A), Ridea (Taiwan) etc.

We also designed and developed BZ in-house hub for Birdy bike, i.e. BZ BD01/BD02. BZ BD01/BD02 Hub is one of our top pick by customers since we started to build Birdy wheels in 2019. BZ BD01/BD02 is fully CNC machined in Taiwan and are ideally designed for small wheels, where the flange spacing, tension balance, and bracing angle are key factors to ensure that the wheel is durable and long-lasting to avoid an untrue wheel.

Spoke Selection

We use only the high quality and reliable bicycle wheel spokes to build Birdy wheels, which are Sapim Spokes (Belgium), DT Swiss Spokes (Switzerland) and Pillar Spokes (Taiwan).

Nipple Selection

We use both brass and alloy nipples to build Birdy wheels. Generally speaking, brass nipples are more durable and heavier, while alloy nipples are lighter and come in a wide range of colours. In most cases, brass nipples are corrosion-resistant. We select based on riders’ requirement.
